Back Swing brings together 4 musicians from across the country with a bounty of musical experience in a wide range of genres. When the Kingston-based friends first got together, they were only sure that the accordion would make an interesting centrepiece for a band focused on entertaining a wide variety of audiences. Once Laura, Ron, Duane & John began playing and listening to various songs, they quickly settled on a musical style born from a Tex-Mex and Cajun diet with dashes of Zydeco and Rockabilly spice. They soon discovered the “Back Swing sound” could be applied to a wide range of rock, pop and country classics. Their material is familiar to the listener but the delivery is unique, upbeat and toe-tappingly fun. Back Swing keep it pretty up-tempo. They want you to have fun, sing along and love it if you’re on the dance floor!
