Compete for up to $250,000 towards your first feature-length film
The Kingston Film Office is excited to support Queen’s Film & Media and the Kingston Canadian Film Festival as official partners on the 2022 Telefilm Canada Talent to Watch Program.
Queen’s Film & Media alumni who graduated within the past 5 years and/or filmmakers who have exhibited a short film at KCFF in the past 5 years are invited to apply to compete for $250,000 in financing for fiction feature films or $150,000 for documentaries and realize the dream of producing their first feature-length film.
Telefilm has also announced a new Apply-Direct Stream for emerging filmmakers who are Indigenous, Black, People of Colour, Women, Gender-diverse and 2SLGBTQIA+ individuals, Persons with disabilities and/or members of Official Language Minority Communities. These emerging filmmakers will be able to submit an application directly to Telefilm.
The Kingston Film Office commits an additional contribution of $25,000 for dramatic features or $15,000 for documentary features as well as significant in-kind support towards any successful Talent to Watch production shot primarily in Kingston.
