About Royal Military College of Canada
The Royal Military College of Canada or RMC, located on Point Frederick, overlooks the city from the east as well as the entrance to the St. Lawrence River and Lake Ontario. The campus is a versatile location offering both modern buildings and historic edifices including the Stone Frigate, a large stone storehouse converted to a dormitory and classroom; the three-story, circa-1878 Second Empire-style Mackenzie Building; the rusticated limestone 1935 Yeo Hall Mess Building; and the 1922 Gothic Revival-style Currie Building, which contains a hall and stained glass windows. The college is fronted by the limestone Memorial Arch erected in 1923. Students are often seen marching in their red-jacketed regalia in the massive parade square.
