Tips for First Time Visitors
The length of the trail to the shoreline is 3 km return including a stroll along the beach.
The time required to cycle from the ferry dock to the trail entrance is 30 – 40 minutes.
Bicycles are not allowed on the trail but strollers and wagons are welcome. Bike racks are available at the reception area.
Be sure to bring sufficient water, snacks and sun protection. No supplies are available beyond Marysville.
There is no can or bottle ban; however, you must carry out what you bring in.
Wear a hat! There is very little shade on the shore. Be prepared for changeable weather.
Comfortable footwear is recommended.
Dogs on a leash are welcome.
Visitors should remember to protect the environment and themselves by following the guidelines posted at the gatehouse.
Remember your camera and binoculars.
