Canada’s Penitentiary Museum, is an award-winning museum dedicated solely to the preservation and interpretation of the history of Canada’s federal penitentiaries. Located at the birthplace of the Correctional Service of Canada in Kingston, the museum is housed within the former Warden’s residence of Kingston Penitentiary. See our unparalleled collection of penitentiary-related artefacts and photographs and chat with one of our Officer Volunteers whose first-hand experiences currently date back to the 1960’s.
